12 Mar CONTAINER SHIP FIRE AFTER COLLISION IN NORTH SEA
A container ship and an oil tanker collided in the North Sea off the coast of East Yorkshire.
The accident involved the US-flagged oil tanker Stena Immaculate and the container ship Solong.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Tracking data shows the moment of the crash, with the Stena Immaculate seemingly stationary
as the Solong sails towards it. The UK Coastguard stated it is evaluating the “likely” counter-pollution response required following the incident.
Any potential disruptions to the UK and European market to still be determined.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any further updates.
