Issue: Road Closure 1400hrs Fri 28th Mar, Re-Open from 0600hrs Mon 31st Mar
BEGIN NOTICE——–“Hi Carriers
Please note that due to Port of Melbourne McKenzie Rd Pavement construction, the exit gates for DPW WST will be required to be closed while construction takes place.
As a consequence, the road will closed on Friday 28th March at 1400hrs (last zone 1200hrs) and will reopen on Monday 31st March at 0600hrs.
Please ensure you communicate this throughout your business, to customers, and 3rd party providers.
We would encourage carriers to begin to make plans now to ensure the timely delivery and collection of cargo.
R&D will assist where possible, but we expect the demand for preferred slot times to be at heightened level during this time.
Vessel schedule volatility will a big obstacle for all, especially with the Port of Brisbane still recovering from TC Alfred.
This will be the first of multiple short working weeks with Easter Holidays and Anzac day following close behind.
So, we expect this be a challenging period for all involved.
