We wish to keep you informed about the impact of Typhoon Co-May, which made landfall in Zhoushan in the early hours of Wednesday, July 30th, with maximum sustained wind speeds of 23 meters per second (83 kph). The storm is currently affecting coastal areas in eastern China, including Ningbo and Shanghai.
Current Impact:
• Heavy rainfall continues across the Ningbo area, with severe flooding reported on urban roads.
• Typhoon Co-May also made landfall in Shanghai, bringing strong winds and heavy rain, resulting in the suspension of services at:
– Shanghai Yangshan Port
– Shanghai WaiGaoqiao Port
– Ningbo Port
